ESSENTIAL FATTY ACIDS IN ARGAN OIL
Essential fatty acids are fatty acids that the body does not produce itself, but which are necessary for the body to function properly. These fatty acids must therefore enter the body from the outside, for example by ingesting or spreading them. Fatty acids in argan oil are called 'essential', because research has shown that the body cannot produce them itself from other fatty acids, while the body does need them. Argan oil contains many essential fatty acids such as linoleic acid (36.8%).
ARGAN OIL SUPPORTS WITH SKIN PROBLEMS
Argan oil is so special because of its unique composition, and has proven its nurturing and healing qualities for centuries. The supporting effect of argan oil in the natural functioning of the skin is partly due to the cold pressing of argan oil. With cold pressing, the seeds of the argan fruit are not heated, so that as few nutritional values as possible are lost. However, this process is a lot more expensive than hot pressing, because many more argan kernels are needed to obtain the same amount of argan oil. Argan oil owes its nickname 'Moroccan gold' to this.
