ARGAN OIL AND NIGELLA OIL
Argan oil and Nigella Oil appear to be an unbeatable duo. Argan oil is distinguished by its natural supporting effect and nigella oil naturally contains vitamins that are important to our body.
Nigella oil originates from Egypt and has been traditionally used there for more than 2,500 years. It is said that a bottle of Nigella oil was found in the tomb of the Egyptian pharaoh Tutankhamun, giving the golden yellow oil the nickname 'Pharaoh oil'. References are also found in the Bible (Old Testament - Isaiah 28:25-27) under the name Spikenard seed.
Nigella oil is now also used in Asia and the Middle East as a nutritional supplement or skin tonic. In these areas, nigella oil is also called black seed oil, habba sawda or nigella sativa called oil.
NIGELLA OIL COMES FROM THE OASIS OF EGYPT
The seeds come from an annual herb that is planted in winter, blooms in spring and harvested in summer. Just like our Argan oil, the Nigella Oil is extracted using cold pressing of these black seeds. The first pressing produces the purest oil and is suitable for human consumption.
USING NIGELLA OIL AS A FOOD SUPPLEMENT
The Black Seed oil is rich in unsaturated fatty acids. More than 80% of the oil consists of these essential building materials for the body. In addition, Nigella oil contains calcium, iron, sodium, phosphorus, zinc, copper, vitamins and sterols. It is regularly used as a vegetable substitute for cod liver oil.
